Recap of Episode 1: Introducing the Characters
The first episode of “Family: The Unbreakable Bond” introduces us to the Kwon family at the center of the series. Kwon Do-hoon (Jang Hyuk) is the breadwinner and husband of Kang Yoo-ra (Jang Na-ra). They have an adorable daughter, Kwon Min-seo (Shin Soo-ah), and both value their family. The family, including Kwon Do-hoon’s father (Kwon Woong-soo), brother (Kwon Ji-hoon), and brother’s wife (Lee Mi-rim),
The family seems to be filled with a lot of love and happiness, like any ideal family. The husband goes to work at a big company, and the wife stays home to take care of the house. We see Kang Yoo-ra as the perfect daughter-in-law, taking care of her father-in-law’s cafe business. While Kwon Ji-hoon and Lee Mi-rim are both unemployed and expecting a baby soon.
Towards the end of episode 1, we get to know Kwon Do-hoon’s boss (Oh Chun-ryun). She visits Kwon Do-hoon’s family while they are celebrating the anniversary of his mother’s death. All this while the family is thinking Chief Oh is a man, but to their surprise, she is a woman. When Chief Oh leaves the Kwon home, she is attacked by an anonymous man disguised as a delivery man.

Analysis of Episode 1: Themes and Plot Points
The first thing we see in Family: The Unbreakable Bond Episode 1 Recap is the nature of Kwon Do-hoon’s job. He is an assessor for the NIS and is very good at his job. He loves his family so much that even when he is at work and gets a phone call from his daughter, his tough demeanor goes away. Kwon Do-hoon immediately becomes a soft father and a caring husband, regardless of the job he does. His wife, Kang Yoo-ra, believes her husband works for an accounting firm.
He is so busy at work that he forgets to do some of his wife’s requests, which always lands him in trouble. Like any husband, he begs for forgiveness. He is so busy at work that he forgets his wife’s urgent trip to Tailand, which leaves him shaking in fear. Even though Kwon Do-hoon faces all the dangers of this world, the one thing he fears the most is losing his lovely wife.
